Indore: For the first time, a summit for start-ups will be organised in the city on October 31. From the summit, 10 start-ups will be shortlisted and investors will be made available to them.
The National Institution for Transforming India, also called NITI Aayog, a premier policy think tank of union government, is for the first time organising a summit for promotion of start-ups in the city. NITI Aayog, along with Wadhwani Foundation and Google Business Group (GBG) Indore, will organise the summit at IIM, Indore. GBG Indore business manager Rohit said NITI has been organising such events only in metro cities but for the first time it is organising the event in Indore. He said the theme of the summit is ‘Pitch your start-up to investors’.
Talking about the objective of the sumit, Rohit said all stakeholders of the event believe in bringing to light the innovative ideas of youth. The event will serve as a platform for entrepreneurs to launch their innovative ideas as start-ups. About 10 start-up investors from city will also participate in the event.
The 10 start-ups to be shortlisted after the summit will be called to make a detailed presentation in Hyderabad. National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), a global network of startup and SME entrepreneurs, mentors and investors will play a vital role in organising the event. The aspirants can contact helpdesk of NEN online. NITI Aayog will provide directional and policy inputs. While designing strategic and long term policies and programmes for union government, NITI Aayog also provides relevant technical advice.
