MAHBUBNAGAR: The Congress leaders on Sunday inspected the damaged crops in Eedamma Gadda Thanda, Bangaram and Udityala villages of Balanagar mandals from Jadcherla Assembly constituency and interacted with the farmers. The team of leaders led by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy included All India Congress Committee Telangana incharge RC Kuntia, former Minister DK Aruna and senior Congress leader Mallu Ravi and others.

Speaking on the occasion, AICC Telangana in-charge RC Kuntia, alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who had promised to bring golden Telangana did not have time to rescue the cotton and maize farmers, who faced crop loss due to recent rains.

He also alleged that the officials of the state government did not have time to enumerate the losses sustained by the farmers. He demanded the state government to come to the rescue of the farmers and provide them financial assistance. He said that the Congres would raise the issue in the upcoming Assembly session.

TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the CM, who loves Andhra contractors the most, did not show the same love towards the farmers of his state.
