Paraguay FIFA U17 member alleges notes stolen from hotel

A member of the Paraguay FIFA under-17 World Cup team has filed a complaint stating that three $100 notes went missing from his wallet at a five-star hotel where he was staying, police said. According to police, an FIR has been registered under the name of the Embassy of the Republic of Paraguay in the matter.

The player, Diego Sebastian Huesca, who was in the capital for the Group-16 match, has claimed that he had kept nine $100 notes in his wallet. When he checked his wallet the next day, he found three notes missing. He then approached the hotel authorities and subsequently police, his complaint stated. Confirming the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) B K Singh said a case has been registered under section 380 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code. The case is under investigation, the DCP added.
