Divisional Railway Manager Mukul Saran Mathur unveiled the mascot and promo of the 2nd Elite National Boxing Championship to be held in 10 different categories at Swarnabharati Indoor Stadium from October 24 to 30.
RSPB is hosting the mega sports event in the history of Indian Boxing. Visakhapatnam city, an ideal place for conducting national boxing event, had contributed a number of boxers to the nation.
Sports Officer, ECoRSA, Sakkeer Hussain CT, sports officer and senior DPO and other officers of Railway and Railway Sports Promotion Board (RPSPB) were present at the unveiling of the mascot.
Speaking on the occasion, the DRM said that Waltair Division was geared to organise the national event, being organised to pick up the young talent and promote the sport.
The logo and promo reflect the ideology of the sport event as well as the importance of the location.
Mr. Mathur said that over 400 participants were expected to attend.

With 36 entries, representing various federations including National and International medallists, fierce competition was expected and it would put viewers on the edge of their seats.
He called upon sports enthusiasts and sportspersons to witness the week-long event.
