SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jobscience has announced it will be using its events strategy as a platform to stay true to their mission: Jobscience believes a company is as great as the people it hires.
Moving away from the traditional conference and tradeshow model handing out marketing swag, Jobscience is investing in people. They’ve partnered with Teach For America who has built an entrepreneurial force of 56,000 diverse leaders working with local communities to expand educational opportunities for children.
For twenty-six years, Teach For America has enlisted college graduates and professionals to become teachers in low-income communities and lifelong advocates; trained members of its teaching corps to be effective leaders in the classroom; and mobilized as many individuals as possible to strengthen the movement for educational excellence.
“Every year we invest in conference giveaways. We decided to do something radically different because we want our money to go towards something great like helping talented people gain employment. We work daily with Teach for America and know firsthand what a wonderful organization it is,” explained Ted Elliott, CEO, Jobscience.
When someone visits a Jobscience booth, watches a demo, has a meeting or speaks with one of their Jobscience experts, money will be donated directly to Teach For America. Jobscience will donate a guaranteed $500 per event and match up to $1000, encouraging companies in attendance to also donate to the organization.
“We are thrilled to participate with Jobscience around the United States in an innovative approach that deepens investment in people,” said Molly Friedland, who leads Teach For America’s National Corporate Partnerships work. “Funds raised through the new Jobscience events strategy will support Teach For America’s work with communities to expand educational opportunity for children by cultivating a diverse network of leaders working from the classroom and every field that impacts education to ensure all children have access to an excellent public education.”
