NEW DELHI: Over 70 stocks, including Avanti Feeds, Bharti Airtel and Britannia Industries hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Monday's trade.

Havells India, HCL Technologies, Hindalco Industries, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Indian Energy Exchange, MOIL, NBCC (India), Petronet LNG, Ramky Infrastructure, Sobha, Tata Chemicals and Torrent Power were also among the stocks that hit 52-week highs today.

On the contrary, Bank of Baroda, KSS, Nakoda, Orbit Corporation and TCPL Packaging were among those 17 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows in Monday's trade so far.

Equity benchmarks registered a positive opening today, with BSE Sensex rising over 200 points and Nifty50 crossing 10,220-mark.

However, markets cooled off a bit as selling emerged in bank, realty and auto stocks.

At 09.55 hours, Nifty50 was trading 33 points up at 10,179, while Sensex was 12 points up at 32,402.

In the Nifty50 index, Ambuja Cements, UltraTech Cement, Bharti Airtel, Adani Ports, HCL Technologies and Coal India were trading in the green.

On the contrary, Bharti Infratel, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Auto, Axis Bank, HDFC, Indiabulls Housing Finance and Bosch were among the top losers.

Meanwhile, the rupee, on Monday, opened 6 paise down at 65.10 against the US dollar on account of buying of American currency by banks and importers.

On the NSE, 758 stocks were advancing, compared with 822 stocks declining and 388 stocks remaining unchanged.
