The villain promises awesome sets, stunts

Sudeep’s introductory song for movie to be made at Rs 2 crore

Touted to be one of the south India’s costliest films, the movie will have an introductory song for the star to be made with an extraordinarily high budget. It will cost the production house ` 2 crores.

“The track, which has Arjun Janya music, will be choroegraphed by Nagesh,” says the director. Prem is signing on around 100 foreign dancers, who will dance along with Sudeep. “The team is currently sketching out the details, keeping a theme in mind,” says Prem, adding that it will be set around Sudeep and the character he portrays in the movie. Likewise, there will be another introductory song for Shivarajkumar, which will be set in Bengaluru. “This one will be quite raw,” says the director.

The film produced by V Manohar will feature Amy Jackson as the female lead, It will also have Sruthi Hariharan in a pivotal role. The Villain has cinematography by Gire.

Inspired Shivarajkumar does parkour chase

If you see a few people jumping across buildings, do not panic. It could be the shooting of Prem’s upcoming directorial The Villain. The director who puts work before everything else, celebrated his birthday yesterday.

Prem is working on a mjor chase scene set in Bengluru city with Shivarajkumar
and 15 other parkour atistes,who have come all the way from France, Mumbai and Chennai. Parkour is an athletic sport or training exercise that has runners going around, above or under obstacles. In Prem’s movie, the chase sequence choreographed by Ravi Verma is being shot at Tech Park in Whitefield, and it will extend to Orion Mall and other places.

Prem, speaking from the sets, says he is bowled over by Shivarajkumar’s enthusiasm. “His energy at 56 is exciting to watch. He actually jumped out of a running car during the shot. He was inspired by the stuntsmen who were jumping from one building to another, and he wanted to do this particular
stunt on his own. It promises to be a stupendous shot in The Villain,” says Prem. “I am lucky that both Sudeep and Shivanna have major action sequences.” The director will be completing this schedule with Shivanna till October 30, after which he will travel to Hyderabad.
