Draw inspiration from my father’s films: Gopichand

Tollywood actor Gopichand , who has cemented his place in Tollywood, has said that he will continue to act in films that appeals to a wide range of audience.

Speaking after paying floral tributes to his father and noted tollywood director T.Krishna on the latter's 31st death anniversary celebrations here late on Saturday, he said he would contribute his mite in realizing the vision of his father, who ran a school initially to mould tiny-tots into responsible citizens in the future.

The actor distributed scholarship of Rs 10,000 each to 20 poor but meritorious students for the sixth consecutive year. He wanted the members of GenX to draw inspiration by seeing some of the thought-provoking films directed by his father who had also made a few Malayalam films.

Praja Natya Mandali honorary President Nalluri Venkateshwarulu said Krishna father of Gopichand had proved that ''art is not just for the sake of art but for the betterment of society.

NTR Kala Parishad founder and Zilla Parishad Chairman Edara Haribabu recalled that Krishna had carved a niche for himself directing revolutionary films like Pratighatana, Neti Bharatham etc.,

''Repati Pourulu'', which won Nandi and Filmfare awards for best feature film had inspired him the most, said Prakasam District Legal Services Authority Secretary T.Raja Venkatadri.
