Apple iPhone X has a new bezel-less rival from Japanese company Sharp
Display aside, the phone is no match to the iPhone X in terms of performance

If you are impressed by the bezel-less looks of Apple iPhone X but deterred by its price, soon you may get an alternative which you can own without burning a hole in your pocket.
Japanese tech giant Sharp is going to come up with a new bezel-less phone Aquos R Compact. The phone sports a 4.9-inch 2032x1080 resolution IGZO liquid crystal edge-to-edge display. The screen has curved corners and a notch in the centre for the front camera. The display has a refresh rate of 120Hz, twice the rate of virtually any smartphone available today.
However, the phone is no match for the iPhone X in terms of performance. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage.
In the optics department, the phone packs a 16.4 megapixels camera at the rear and an 8-megapixel snapper in the front. It runs on latest Android 8.0 Oreo with EMOPA 7.0.
It is powered by a lowly 2500 mAh battery with a Quick Charge 3.0 ability.
The Aquos R Compact will be available in December exclusively on Softbank Japan. There is no information about when it will be available in India.
