GREATER NOIDA: The family members of slain Barola brothers protested outside the district collectorate on Monday seeking the arrest of the fourth accused in the case. TOI had reported on October 10 about the double murders of Yogesh (24) and Umesh (22) due to family rivalry.

"One of the main accused in the case, Jitendra, has not been arrested yet. He is threatening the family through various sources," Yogesh Sharma, a cousin of the deceased, told TOI. The family later met district magistrate BN Singh and demanded that National Security Act be invoked against Jitendra.

The family of the deceased blamed one Gulshan (22), his elder brother Jitendra (25), father Onkar and other relatives for the murder. However, the accused's side has justified the murder as the two brothers had forcefully entered their house to beat up Gulshan (Gullu) resulting in a tussle between the groups.

An FIR has been lodged against Gulshan, his elder brother Jitendra and their parents Onkar and Pushpa on the complaint of the deceased's uncle Ramesh Kumar under sections 302 (murder), 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapon), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) and 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy).

While the police have arrested the rest of the accused, Jitendra has been at large.
