Net outflow of Rs 1226.67 crore on 18 and 19 October 2017

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 1226.67 crore into the secondary equity markets on 18 and 19 October 2017.

The net outflow of Rs 1226.67 crore on 18 and 19 October 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4983.42 crore and gross sales of Rs 6210.09 crore.

There was a net inflow of Rs 106.50 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 18 and 19 October 2017, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 106.96 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.46 crore.

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 8590.54 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017 so far (till 19 October 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 19973.64 crore into the secondary equity markets in September 2017.

FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 231.62 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 19 October 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 4062.30 crore from the primary market & others' category in October 2017 so far (till 19 October 2017). They had bought stocks worth a net Rs 8581.37 crore from the primary market & others' category in September 2017.

FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 30056.44 crore from the 'primary markets & others' category in calendar year 2017 so far (till 19 October 2017). The net inflow from FPIs into the category 'primary markets & others' had totaled Rs 8471.76 crore in calendar year 2016.
