At Farah Khan’s show Lip Sing Battle’s sets, while dancing on Akshay Kumar’s song Chinta Ta Chita Chita, Rajkummar Rao was to jump from a height. While jumping down, he missed his balance and landed with a thud.

Farah Khan’s hosted reality show Lip Sing Battle has been entertaining the audience with its exciting and dramatic musical content. Added to that, are the celebrities shaking their legs on their favourite actors’ dance numbers. Everything was going all fine till popular actor Rajkummar Rao met with an accident shooting for the show. The Newton actor has fractured his leg while he was dancing on the stage at the Yash Raj Films Studios in Andheri, Mumbai.

A source exclusively told indianexpress.com, “Rajkummar was shooting with his Bareilly Ki Barfi costar Kriti Sanon for the episode. While dancing on Akshay Kumar’s song Chinta Ta Chita Chita, Rajkummar was to jump from a height. While jumping down, he missed his balance and landed with a thud. He was left writhing in pain and was thus rushed to the nearby Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. When the doctors attended and examined him, it was found that he has fractured his ankle. He will be in the hospital for sometime.”

The sad incident has left Farah Khan and the entire team of the show disheartened and shocked. They were by his side the entire time assuring him that he will be well soon. Rajkummar has reportedly cancelled all his upcoming shoots and will be on bed rest for a while.

Lip Sing Battle is an adaptation of Lip Sync Battle, an international format hosted by Jimmy Fellon. On Saturday’s episode, Shah Rukh Khan, Sania Mirza and Sushant Singh Rajput were seen bringing the house down with their performances. Apart from them, we have already seen Parineeti Chopra, Arjun Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Raveena Tandon, Karan Johar and Ayushmann Khuranna among others being on the show with Farah.
