Election to Palike panels postponed

The elections to the 12 standing committees of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has been postponed to October 27.

As per the earlier schedule, it was planned to hold the election on October 25.

However, a programme to observe the diamond jubilee of Vidhana Soudha has been organised on the same day. Hence, the Legislative Assembly secretary had asked the BBMP to reschedule the election to the standing committees, Palike officials said.
