Karnataka man held for drug possession
TNN | Oct 23, 2017, 03:42 ISTCalangute: Calangute police arrested a Karnataka native early on Sunday morning, in their crackdown on drug peddlers.
Calangute PI Jivba Dalvi said they received a tip-off that the man, who was posing as a waiter at a beach shack, was peddling drugs on the beach. A raid was conducted on the spot at 11pm on Saturday and the alleged accused, Somnath Chauhan, was nabbed with ganja worth Rs 15,000.
Chauhan, 20, a native of Gadag, has been arrested and charged under Section 20 (b) (ii) A of the NDPS Act.
