BENGALURU: A 16-year-old boy travelling by the Ernakulam Intercity Express had a fatal fall at a curve near Baiyappanahalli railway station on Saturday night.

According to a Railway Protection Force policeman, the incident took place at 7.25 pm after the train crossed Krishnarajapuram station and was heading towards Baiyappanahalli. “There is a curvature of the tracks on the way to Baiyappanahalli.

It is at this spot that the boy slipped from the steps of the train on the tracks and his body was cut to pieces.”

“We do not have any other information about his background,” police said. The train was detained for nearly 20 minutes.
