Building the tempo for its 75-day Karnataka Parivarthan Yatra to be launched in Bengaluru on November 2, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday said it would expose a series of alleged scams in the Congress government.

Speaking to reporters after performing the ground-breaking ceremony for preparations for a convention to be held in Bengaluru’s outskirts to mark the launch of the yatra, BJP national general secretary and Karnataka in charge P. Muralidhar Rao said: “The omissions and commissions of the Siddaramaiah dispensation will be brought out during the yatra to be flagged by BJP national president Amit Shah.”

Then, the alleged expose would be taken to the people by the party workers, he noted.

Accusing the Siddaramaiah government of indulging in large-scale corruption, he said the proposed yatra was aimed at freeing the State from the Congress. “BJP challenges Mr. Siddaramaiah and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi to take part in a public debate on corruption. The debate is no more confined to TV studios, but is going to be on the streets of Karnataka,” he said.

He also indicated that several Central leaders of the BJP and Union Ministers would be roped in to attend the rally at different places. The rally, being spearheaded by BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa, would cover all 224 Assembly constituencies in the State.
