Runaway minor from Keshodh traced to Ahmedabad
tnn | Oct 23, 2017, 04:00 ISTKeshodh: An abduction complaint of a minor girl from Keshodh has been filed against a resident of Mumbai who allegedly lured the victim to leave her house and come to Mumbai. The girl, however, was caught at Kalupur railway station in Ahmedabad.
According to case details, accused Tejas Jogi from Mumbai befriended the minor girl while chatting on the social media and invited her to come to Mumbai. On October 19, at 10am, the girl left her house and boarded the Veraval-Jabalpur Express.
She was to leave the train at Ahmedabad station to board another one for Mumbai. However, on the same day, her mother Gita Faldu (40) lodged a complaint of abduction with Keshodh police station.
"The girl had taken Gita's cellphone along with her and while tracking the cellphone we found the girl's location in Veraval-Jabalpur Express and alerted railway police stations along the way to Ahmedabad. At Ahmedabad, on the night of October 19, the railway police traced the girl and brought her back to Keshodh," said Keshodh police station PI M Z Patel, adding that they have booked Jogi under sections 363 and 366 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
