The Andhra Pradesh Non Gazetted Officers’ Association (APNGOA) has urged the government to constitute the 11th Pay Revision Commission (PRC).
At a meeting here on Friday, association’s State associate president Chowdary Purushottam Naidu said the new commission would be able to submit its report in a year if it was constituted immediately. He hoped Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would respond positively as he had promised 43% fitment and accepted a majority of the suggestions made by the 10th PRC.
Mr. Purushottam Naidu also held discussions with district president Hanumanthu Sairam and others about the State-level meeting scheduled to be organised on November 3 and 4 in Tirupati. He said the employees were extending full cooperation to the Chief Minister in his endeavour to develop the State in spite of financial difficulties. “Our aim is to resolve problems without any confrontation with the government as the State’s financial condition is in a bad shape after bifurcation. But, at the same time, the hard work being put in by the employees for the development of the State will be taken to the notice of the government,” said Mr. Purushottam Naidu.
Referring to the agenda of the Tirupati meeting, he said the association would oppose the contributory pension scheme (CPS) as its was detrimental to the interests of the employees who joined service after 2004. The association would also press for regularisation of services of contract and outsourcing staff for more accountability.
