Many institutes haven’t displayed the requisite information

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on Friday ordered all private unaided recognised schools in the city to comply with directions regarding display of information in respect of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota vacancies in their schools.

The schools had been asked to display prominently on notice boards outside the school updated information on the total number of EWS seats, vacancies and applications received under EWS quota.

However, the government said that it has been brought to its notice that despite issuing repeated circulars, and reminders, most schools have not been displaying or updating requisite information.

Flimsy banner

“As per photographs of the noticeboards submitted to the Directorate of Education by the district-level education officials, many schools have displayed the information only once on a flimsy banner rather than displaying the information on the noticeboard and updating the information at regular intervals,” read the order.

Strict action

It went on to say that the government has taken a very serious view on the matter and that non compliance of the order will amount to strict action against the defaulting school management.

All regional directors and deputy directors of education are directed to ensure compliance and submit documentary proof that schools under their jurisdiction have complied with the directions.
