A 45-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by slitting his throat with a sharp object in Purkazi town here as he was depressed over his prolonged illness, police said today.
Suleman ended his life last evening, a police official said.
The weapon was been recovered from the spot. The family of the deceased said the man was depressed due to his illness, the official added.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, he said.
