Panaji: Amidst the recent controversy involving Goa Konkani Akademi and the anthology of poems 'Sudir Sukt', another storm is brewing within Gomantak Marathi Academy (GMA) due to a ongoing rivalry amongst the ruling and outgoing managing committee members.
Complaints have been filed by both the warring factions for allegedly committing theft of documents and tampering with the door lock.
GMA president Pradeep Ghadi Amonkar has complained to Porvorim police that the minutes book, bank cheque book, fixed deposit receipts and election proceeding details have gone missing from the office.
"We request you to register an FIR against the culprits and recover the stolen documents and other items of the academy," Amonkar said. He also said that the same people named in the FIR have filed a counter complaint against his group for breaking open the lock of the academy.
