Poker. Drinking. Darts. Pool. Magic: the Gathering. There are countless ways to compete with your friends, but virtually none of them involve showing off how fit you are. So how can you show up your buds and claim the title of fittest dude in your group? A little workout circuit might do the trick.

In the video above, Kenny Santucci and Chelsea Potter, both trainers at Reebok and Solace, try to outdo each other. “We’re going to show you a great tandem workout that you should be doing with your friends to test their fitness,” Santucci says. Oh, boy.

All you need is a kettlebell (one per friend) and a little bit of rhythm. Use kettlebells that will give you a decent challenge. Grab the kettlebells and start with 10 kettlebell swings. This move works your core, shoulders, and legs, and you should really feel the burn when you put the kettlebells down. Remember to to swing in tandem with your friend—first one to mess up loses.

Put the kettlebells down and slam out 10 burpees, jumping over the kettlebell you just put down each time. Burpees challenge your cardio capacity—so in one short circuit, you’ll be working out both your strength and lung function.

Santucci recommends getting 10 reps of each exercise every minute, on the minute, so you and your buds should get a little rest in between.

It’s a great way to challenge your guys to a friendly fitness competition.
