Chennai: DMK Working President M.K. Stalin on Friday said he would start a month-long statewide campaign from November to explain to the people the ill-effects of the AIADMK government.

The campaign will begin in the first week of November and end in the first week of December, Stalin told reporters here after chairing a meeting of party District Secretaries.

Stalin said he would be meeting a cross-section of the population during the campaign and that it would enable the party's growth.

The purpose is not only to focus on the local body or assembly or general elections but highlight the bad rule of the AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu.

According to Stalin, the travel plan will be finalised in four or five days after consultation with the party's District Secretaries.

In 2016 ahead of the Assembly elections, Stalin toured the entire state under the slogan 'Namakku Naamey' (for us, by us) and interacted with the people. The DMK won 89 seats in the assembly.
