This Diwali season, Telugu superstar Ravi Teja has again come out with a bang. His festive release ‘Raja The Great’ can be touted as an out-and-out entertainer just like his previous releases. Ravi Teja’s movies have a dose of action and comedy, and this movie too is a cracker in these departments.

The movie revolves around visually-impaired Raja (Ravi Teja) who is given the mission to save Lucky (Mehreen Pirzada). Raja lives with his mother Ananthalakshmi (Raadhika) and his close friend (Srinivas Reddy) who believe that Raja despite being blind can do any task successfully. Now, comes the main plot where Lucky is wanted by a ruthless goon Deva (Vivan Bhatena). The reason, Deva’s rowdy brother was killed by a police officer (Prakash Raj). Now, Deva seeks revenge and kills the officer but his daughter Lucky escapes. Lucky is sent to Darjeeling to escape Deva. Meanwhile, Raja is given a police job and he is sent to protect Lucky. Will Raja be able to save Lucky from the claws of the goon Deva is what the movie is all about.

Ravi Teja’s mass appeal is his strength in ‘Raja The Great’ as well. He comes as a strong protagonist, whose impaired vision isn’t seen as a weakness. His martial arts skills are a strength to his personality in the film. Vivan Bhatena as the stylish goon does a commendable job. Raadhika and Srinivas Reddy also do justice to their roles. Mehreen too manages to do good but unfortunately has very little to offer as an actor.

But, the star of the movie is undoubtedly, Ravi Teja. His performance as the blind man is nothing short of fun. He’s a treat to watch on screen. He ups the entertainment factor of the film and is a fun-filled watch this festive season.

‘Raja The Great’ movie review; cast: Ravi Teja, Mehreen Pirzada, Vivan Bhatena, Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Raj, Sampath Raj, Raadhika; director: Anil Ravipudi.
