MANDYA: A 22-year-old pregnant woman struggled for an hour at a government hospital in Karnataka’s Mandya district on Wednesday.

The family claimed there were no doctors present in the hospital when the woman was brought there at around 7.30 this morning. They added that even primary health centres in the district were closed.

After hours of labour, the local media contacted the Malavalli Taluk Hospital and arranged for an ambulance.

The woman delivered a baby boy later in the day.
