Almond prices up on festive demand

Almond prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg at the wholesale market here today on rising demand from retailers and stockists owing to ongoing festive session amid low stocks.

Almond (California) rose by Rs 100 to Rs 18,100-18,300 per 40 kg. Its kernel also edged up by Rs 5 to Rs 700-705 per kg, respectively.


Marketmen attributed increased demand from retailers and stockists to rise in almond and its kernel prices.
