Seven dead, seven injured in road accident in Mansa’s Bhikhi tehsil

Seven people died while seven others suffered injuries after their car had a head-on collision with a truck in Mansa’s Bhikhi tehsil. All were from Chandigarh’s Naya Gaon area and were on their way to Guggamari in Rajasthan. Out of these, 5 belonged to one family while the rest were relatives. The deceased have been identified as Anil Kumar (22), his father Partap (56), mother Ramvati( 52), daughter-in-law Aarti (23) and Aarti’s son Ritik(10). The other two deceased have been identified as Raj Kumar(10) and Hari( 35), relatives of the family.

The injured have been identified as Ajay Kumar (26), Rohit Kumar(5), Chander Bhan(25), Lakshmi Devi(11), Bindra (25), Vidya Devi and Guddi. An FIR have been lodged under section 304 A of IPC (causing death by negligence).
