The Uttar Pradesh police has claimed to have busted a gang involved allegedly in sexual harassment of children and also forcing them into pickpocketing.
Circle Officer Ashok Kumar said they have also rescued three children aged between 10 to 14 years.
He said the case came to light after one of the children was caught while allegedly stealing money in Shamli.
A case was registered against the arrested person under IPC sections 377 (unnatural sex) and 506 (criminal intimidation) and also Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act, Kumar said.
