Seven killed in road accident in Tamil Nadu

TRICHY: Seven people were killed and one injured when their car hit a roadside tree near Thozhuthur in the district today, the police said.

The accident took place on the Chennai-Tiruchirappalli highway, they said.

According to the police, said the accident took place when the car's passengers were going to Pathanamthitta in Kerala.

The injured woman has been admitted to a hospital, the police said.
