UPTET 2017: About 9.76 lakh candidates were allowed to sit for the exam

UPTET 2017: The answer keys for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) has been released on the official website – upbasiceduboard.gov.in. The exam was conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Exam Regulatory Authority on October 15. While the initial answer keys release date was October 17, however, due to heavy load on the website, it did not function properly. The exam authority has released it today noon and the candidates can view the keys by following the steps written below:

Step 1: Go to the official page – upbasiceduboard.gov.in
Step 2: There will be two links – one for PRI and other for UPRI. Click the one you appeared for
Step 3: A pdf file will open, check the answer keys
Step 4: Download and take a print out, if needed

The candidates may raise objections (if any) regarding the answer keys till October 23, 2017, 6 pm. The objections can be sent to email id: uptethelpline@gmail.com.

A total of 10,09,347 candidates applied for the UPTET 2017 but only 9.76 lakh were allowed to sit. Of them, 3,49,192 for primary and 6,27,568 for upper primary had registered for the exam.

As per reports, eight people were caught impersonating in the exam while many candidates reported of errors in the admit card. At a centre in UP’s Bhagpat district, aspirants have to face heavy traffic jam at the Delhi-Yamunotri highway. Due to this many could not reach the exam centre on time and therefore were not allowed to sit for UPTET.
