GUNTUR: An SSC student allegedly committed suicide by throwing himself before a running train at Venukonda late Monday night.Sixteen-year-old Sk Muzawar Aqeeb Javed of Narayana Talent School here, allegedly took the extreme step afraid that his parents would pull him up for beating up a student in school. After Javed thrashed the student, the latter lodged a complaint with the school teacher, who, after shouting at him, asked him to go home and bring his parents the next day.

Scared that his parents would get angry, the boy left his house a bicycle and ended his life on the railway track near Endugpalem near Vinukonda Railway Station. Javed’s parents Sk Muzawar Mohammad Sharif, Zareena and relatives found the body on Tuesday morning. They rushed to the school and had argument with the management, which they held responsible for their son’s death.

The boy’s relatives attempted to damage the school’s furniture even as the members of the management fled the town fearing an attack on them. Police, however, said the death was an accident not a suicide after the parents filed a complaint to this effect reportedly after the school paid them compensation.
Railway SI D Venkateswara Rao said that the parents had said in their complaint that Javed left for the railway station to attend nature’s call. The body has been sent to Vinukonda Government Hospital for a postmortem examination.
