KOCHI:BEAME, the cultural organisation of bank employees, will host a musical concert ‘Sugama Sangeetham’ by Ghazal maestro Raghuram Krishnan on October 21 at 6.30 pm at TDM Hall.

During the event, which is jointly organised with the support of the Ernakulam Karayogam, he will fascinate music lovers with evergreen oldies from Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil movies in his own unique style to the accompaniment of a classy orchestra. He will belt out 20 all-time favourites, including ‘Karineela kannula penne’, ‘Arikil nee undayirunenkil’, ‘Pournami chandrika thottuvilicha’, and ‘Innale mayangumbol’.

Hailing from Ernakulam, Raghuram is one of the leading Ghazal exponents in the country. He learnt the basics of classical music under his mother Cochin Soubhagyavathi - a renowned Carnatic vocalist. Later, he developed a penchant for Hindustani music and went on to become adept in Ghazals.
Apart from Ghazals, Raghuram has left his mark on semi classical music as well and has performed at several venues in India and abroad giving the audience a taste of his unique style of singing. This is the 421st monthly cultural event of BEAME.
