Ilaiyaraaja to compose for Vaiko’s film?

We had told you that politician Vaiko will be making his production debut with a film on Velu Nachiyar. Now, the latest is that Ilaiyaraaja is likely to compose the music.

It’s being said that Vaiko and Ilaiyaraaja met recently and discussed the possible collaboration. Velu Nachiyar was the queen of Sivagangai in the 18th century, and fought against the British in pre-independence India.

To be directed by Sriram Sharma, the film will have Manimekalai Sharma, Bharatanatyam dancer and wife of the director, playing the titular role.
