Organic Harvest to step up global presence

NEW DELHI: Riding on the current wave of ‘natural' products, organic beauty products personal care products maker Organic Harvest will step up presence across 100,000 stores within 12 months, company chief executive Rahul Agarwal said. The brand presently reaches 5,000 stores. “There is a vast, growing demand for organic personal care products, which we are leveraging,” he said.

Agarwal said the internally-funded company, which debuted in 2013, was also working on the blueprint to step up its global presence to reach 10 overseas markets across West and East Asia, including Saudi Arabia and Singapore.

Industry estimates project global demand for the organic personal care sector to touch $13.2 billion (or Rs 80,000 crore) by 2018, up from $7.6 billion (about Rs 50,000 crore) in 2012, which markets such as India are fuelling.
