‘Pass on values to the next generation’

Describing Prakasam district which produced great sons of soil like Yerranna, as cradle of Telugu language and culture, noted Telugu actor, writer and film director Tanikella Bharani has underscored the need for upholding the great cultural traditions and pass them on members of GenX.

Making a mention of the literary giants including 14th century poet Srinatha, he said Telugu people would lose their prominence if any further time was lost in cherishing the glorious past and pass on the great cultural legacy to new generation.

Mr. Bharani, a multi-faceted personality enthralled the audience by singing select songs like ''Nalona Sivudu Galadu'', ''Aata Kadara Siva'', ''Sabbashra Sankara'' after delivering a discourse on ''Sivatatvam'' extoling the virtues of Lord Siva.

The Lawyerpet Sai Baba temple provided the right ambience for the event which was aptly anchored by Prakasam District Writers Association Secretary Ponnuri Venkata Srinivasulu.

Mr.Mynampatti Saikumar, President of Yerranna Sahitya Parishad President, which organised the event, along with connoisseur of arts felicitated the Nandi awardee, who had worked in more than 750 films including in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi, written books, and drama and also composed songs.
