IndiGo, owned by InterGlobe Aviation, has announced a service aimed at travelers who are unsure of their travel plans or if there is a possibility of a last minute change in travel plans. Called 6E – Upgrade, this service by the airline allows change your booking as many times as you like or cancel without any fee and also select the seat of your choice, including extra legroom, window and aisle seats, without any additional charge. Passengers can apply for the 6E- Upgrade by paying Rs 2,500 per seat for domestic travel and and Rs.3,000 per seat for international travel.
Under this service passengers can modify their booking multiple number of times or cancel the booking, without paying any additional Change or Cancellation fees, as may be applicable. Any difference in fare and GST will be applied the airline said.
Passengers can also select the seat of their choice without any charge, and can opt for seats with extra legroom and window and aisle seats. Indigo also said that customers who opt for the 6E-Upgrade are entitled to a free snack comprising of a food item and beverage from the available choice on board.
Passengers may book this Service, either through the travel agents or through the website, www.goindigo.in, the airline said. In case of cancellation of a booking, after deducting the Fee, the residual amount, if any, will be refunded in accordance with the then current Conditions of Carriage.
IndiGo's parent InterGlobe Aviation has raised nearly Rs. 3,795 crore by selling shares to institutional investors in September. InterGlobe Aviation got listed on the exchanges in November 2015 and the promoters' holding stood at 85.88 per cent at the end of June 2017.
