Most active stocks in terms of volume on Tuesday

NEW DELHI: Shares of Idea Cellular (number of shares traded: 4.26 crore), NTPC (1.97 crore), Bharti Airtel (1.70 crore), State Bank of India (1.35 crore), DLF (1.21 crore) and ITC (1.06 crore) were among the most traded stocks on the National Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
Equity benchmarks ended flat on Tuesday as gains in oil & gas, telecom, auto, metal and pharma stocks were offset by losses in bank, IT and FMCG stocks.
Benchmark Nifty50 closed 4 points up at 10,234, while BSE Sensex settled 24 points lower at 32,609.
In the Nifty50 index, Cipla, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Bharti Airtel, Hindalco Industries, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Asian Paints and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation stood among the top gainers on Tuesday.
On the contrary, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Axis Bank, Dr Reddy's, Infosys, UPL, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors, Power Grid Corporation, Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC Bank remained among the top losers.
