Orion Communities believes every person deserves shelter, food, clothing, transportation and access to health care.
Marking its 40th anniversary this year, the nonprofit celebrates community with a concert Oct. 27 at the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville.
Who’s performing?
Orion Communities’ third annual benefit concert, “Music for Everyone,” features Philadelphia performers Cory O’Niell Walker (tenor) and pianist Dr. Matt Brower. They will be joined by soprano Julia Chalfin, who is returning from her singing career in Germany. The trio specializes in musical genre bending — opera to jazz to show tunes to Motown and back again.
When does it start?
Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 7:30.
How much are tickets?
$25, $20 for seniors, $15 for students. $100 Benefactor tickets include a special reception in the Garden Suite at the Colonial Theatre with complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
There’s also going to be raffle for a trip for six to Jamaica. Chances are $25 for five for $100. The drawing will be held during the concert. Go to http://orioncommunities.org/concert/ or call (610) 415-1140.
