Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has been a vocal presence on social media. From congratulating the Indian teams to promoting social initiatives, Tendulkar has never shied away from sharing his experiences. However, on Monday, Tendulkar requested Twitter to take down fake profiles of his children Arjun and Sara.
Reminding that he had tweeted in 2014 on the same issue, Tendulkar wrote, “I reiterate the fact that my children Arjun & Sara are not on twitter. We request @Twitter to remove all such accounts at the earliest.”

In his second tweet, Sachin emphasised on the ill effects of impersonation and how it can create unnecessary trouble. “Impersonation wreaks havoc, creates misunderstanding & traumatises us. I appeal to the platforms to take corrective measures immediately”, he wrote.

A storm brewed after a fake account under Sara’s name tweeted abuses to Nationalist Congress President Sharad Pawar and NCP legislator Jitendra Awhad threatened agitation against the cricketer, also seeking an explanation. Tweets against Pawar gained importance since Tendulkar and Pawar, who was the International Cricket Council president, enjoyed cordial relations. Sources said that the NCP leadership spoke to Awhad and asked him to delete his tweets. Simultaneously, the star got to know of the objectionable tweets and rushed to clear the air on the issue.
