Gautam Gambhir has a certain enigmatic aura about him. During his heydays, the Delhi opener used to be a feisty character who got involved in famous verbal duels with current Indian skipper Virat Kohli, flamboyant Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi and gutsy Australian all-rounder, Shane Watson. But this time he has shown a great sense of humour on Twitter. Gambhir, who had celebrated his birthday on October 14, posted an adorable photo with his wife Natasha Jain and two daughters. The image caption became an instant hit with Twitterati. “Leading ladies & my last night’s b’day cake…Don’t go by my smile, I felt like a male passenger who just boarded a ladies compartment!!!,” the ace southpaw tweeted.
Apart from this he also thanked everyone for wishing him. “Thank you each one of you for the love and blessings that you all showered on me today. Am blessed to have u all. God bless n good night,” Gambhir tweeted. The Kolkata Knight Riders captain also shared a video of Delhi Ranji team dressing room where he was cutting a cake. “Now I spend more on candles rather than on a birthday cake. Thanks Delhi Ranji Trophy team for making it special for me,” he wrote in another humorous aside.

Recently Gambhir had pledged to support the education of five-year-old Zohra, who lost her father, ASI Abdul Rashid, in a militant attack in Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Gambhir said he would help the young child realise her dreams and support her education for life. Rashid was killed on August 28 when militants fired at him at Mehandi Kadal in Anantnag district. Photographs of Zohra crying inconsolably over the coffin of her father went viral on social media.
