NEW DELHI: Most of the Power stocks were trading in the red in the afternoon trade on Monday.

Entegra (down 4.76 per cent), KSK Energy Ventures (down 2.93 per cent), Energy Development Company (down 2.89 per cent), PTC India (down 2.26 per cent), JSW Energy (down 1.76 per cent) and Kalpataru Power Transmission (down 1.67 per cent) were the top losers among the power stocks.

However, Jaiprakash Power Ventures (up 9.59 per cent), NHPC (up 2.67 per cent), Orient Green Power Company (up 1.81 per cent), Indowind Energy (up 1.63 per cent), SJVN (up 1.47 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India (up 1.12 per cent) and Torrent Power (up 0.43 per cent) were gaining in trade.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 28 points up at 10,195 at around 01:24 pm (IST). The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 79 points at 32,511 at around the same time.

Bharti Airtel (up 3.88 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 3.31 per cent), Vedanta (up 2.86 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (up 2.40 per cent), Bosch (up 2.38 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 2.36 per cent), Cipla (up 2.02 per cent), Tata Motors (up 1.73 per cent), Hindalco Industries (up 1.71 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 1.64 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (up 1.56 per cent) and Coal India (up 1.44 per cent) were among top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Axis Bank (down 1.85 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 1.74 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation (down 1.05 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (down 0.76 per cent) were trading in the red.
