NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Midcap index was trading 0.15 per cent up at 15,991 around 01:15 pm (IST) in Monday's trade.

Shares of Tata Communications (up 3.11 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 2.87 per cent), Berger Paints (India) (up 2.81 per cent), Federal Bank (up 2.77 per cent), Jindal Steel & Power (up 2.74 per cent) and Indian Hotels Company (up 2.05 per cent) were the top gainers in the BSE Midcap index.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises (down 2.34 per cent), IDFC Bank (down 2.03 per cent), Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (down 2.02 per cent), Vakrangee (down 1.95 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 1.83 per cent), JSW Energy (down 1.82 per cent) and Godrej Industries (down 1.77 per cent) were among top losers in the index around the same time.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 21.90 points at 10,189, while BSE Sensex was up 53 points at 32,486.

Among the 51 stocks in Nifty index, 29 were trading in green, while 20 were in red.

Shares of JP Associates, City Union Bank, Reliance Comm, Idea Cellular, Federal Bank, Unitech, Wipro, South Indian Bnk, JSPL, Bombay Dyeing, IDFC, NHPC were among most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange on Monday.

Shares of Godrej Agrovet, H K Trade International, Piccadily Agro, Everest Ind, Suven Life Sci, Shree Ganesh Bio-Tech (India), Frontier Spring, Eon Electric, Chandni Text, Ramco Ind, Phoenix Mills, Porwal Auto Comp hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.

Ad-Manum Fin, Kanco Ent., Suryanagri Fin, Mount Shivalik, Econo Trade (I), TN Steel Tubes, Anar Industries, Raj Oil Mills, Birdhi Chand Pannalal, Sharp India, Vani Commercials, Meenakshi Enterprises hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
