The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagship smartphones were launched in India in April at Rs. 57,900 and Rs. 64,900. Following this, the Galaxy S8+ was launched in a high-end variant with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM at a price of Rs. 74,900.
Within a few months, these smartphones received a couple of price cuts taking them down by a significant amount. Now, it looks like the 64GB of the Galaxy S8+ has got a price cut and is available at Rs. 58,900. The Galaxy S8+ with 128GB that was launched at a whopping price point of Rs. 74,900 received a couple of price cuts with the latest one happening right before the release of the Galaxy Note 8 in the country. Following the same, the high-end variant of the smartphone is available at Rs. 64,900. The Galaxy S8+ with 64GB seems to have followed suit and is tipped to be available at Rs. 58,900 right now.
When it comes to the specifications, the Galaxy S8+ adorns a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. The smartphone has an Infinity Display panel with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Like the Galaxy S8, this one also employs the Exynos 8895 SoC paired with 64GB/128GB internal storage and 4GB/6GB RAM. Notably, there is a hybrid SIM card slot that supports up to 256GB of expandable storage space.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy S8+ has 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and USB Type-C port. The imaging aspects include a 12MP Dual Pixel main camera with OIS and f/1.7 aperture. There is an 8MP selfie camera with autofocus and f/2.0 aperture as well. The device is equipped with a 3500mAh battery that supports both fast charging and wireless charging. The Galaxy S8 duo was launched with the IP68 rating making it water and dust resistant.
