The police have detained nine persons involved in various criminal cases under the Goondas Act.
A senior official said the nine persons include G. Prakash and C. Thirumal of Thiruverkadu, T. Palani of Kolathur and V. Vimalraj from Rajamangalam.
The Goondas Act was invoked against Prakash and Thirumal for their alleged involvement in a robbery and Palani and Vimalraj in assault cases.
