At least 15 people were feared dead, including a woman, after a boat capsized in Gandak river in Chhapra district of Bihar on Monday. This incident occurred at Panapur near Chapra district, about 70 km north of Patna, the capital city of Bihar.

Jagaran news reported that the boat capsized as it was overloaded with travellers. The boat was carrying 16 people.
Superintendent of Police, P Kishore Rai, said the divers are looking for missing person in the river. He said NDRF and SDRF teams are on their way to carry out rescue operations.
It may be recalled that, in January, at least 20 people were drowned, including some minors, when a boat capsized on the Ganga in Patna. Around 40 people were said to be onboard the country boat when it capsized near NIT ghat in the evening.
