IT News Africa‘s CEO, Abe Wakama, is set to chair African Leaders Day on the 23rd of October at the 7th Innovation Africa Summit which will take place in Mozambique between 23-25 October 2017.

Under the official joint patronage of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Higher & Technical Education and the Ministry of Education & Human Development of Mozambique, the event will bring together industry partners, ministers and senior government officials from over 40 countries.

Innovation Africa 2017, partnering with IBM and D-NA, is firmly established as the continent’s number one high-level ministerial forum where attendees enjoy pre-scheduled meetings and committed engagement in what is Africa’s “must participate” event for education, innovation & ICT. Other partners include Microsoft, HP, Intel, Cambridge, Discovery and Pearson among many others.

In 2016 the summit achieved record numbers of participants and an astonishing 1,200 one-to-one meetings took place between 560 delegates representing 48 countries. Leading industry partners agree that Innovation Africa is the most productive and enjoyable experience of all events, emphasising the quality of the audience and high-level status of decision-making participants.

In 2017, the full force of the Government of Mozambique, under cabinet endorsement, will be ensuring a record number of participating ministers from across the continent.
