GURUGRAM: A 28-year-old man, Satpal, was arrested from Palwal on Saturday for allegedly shooting dead a shopkeeper. Satpal is also wanted for other crimes, including an attempted murder and a robbery in Sohna last month. One of his accomplices, Sandeep, was arrested last week.

On September 22, Bhubhanesh (34) alias Lucky was shot dead by a group 5-6 men, who had come armed in a Quid to his shop on the Sohna-Palwal bypass road. Police said Satpal was one of them.

Another shopkeeper in the nearby locality, Devender (25) alias Bhola, was shot at, allegedly by the same group on the same day.

While Sandeep and Satpal have been arrested on the basis of separate complaints of Bhubhanesh's mother and Devender, four others, identified as Rahul Neeru, Balraj and Narender, are on the run.

Police said Satpal was also wanted in relation to several other crimes, including an attempted murder in Rewari and a motorcycle theft. He was produced in a city court on Sunday, and is being interrogated by cops on a two day remand.

SHO of Sohna police station, Mukesh Kumar, said they are trying to nab the rest of the accused.
