At least six people lost their lives when four houses collapsed partially in the Ejipura Area due to a cylinder blast, as per an ANI tweet. However, the Karnataka Home Minister has negated the assumption of cylinder blast behind the building collapse. He told ANI, “Cylinders on both ground & first floor had no gas in them so it is unlikely that the buildings collapsed due to blast.” Informing about the casualties, he further said, “Six people dead, out of which five people were residents of the building and one was a neighbour.” Many are still feared to be trapped under the debris.
As per a TOI report, the victims were identified as Sharavana, his eight-month-pregnant wife Ashwini, Kalavathi, Ravichandran, Hariprasad and Pavan Kalyan.
