Ujjain: Newly elected office-bearers pledge to uphold school’s motto

Ujjain: Jain Public School, Barnagar organised an investiture ceremony for the academic session 2017-18 with great pomp and show.  The event was presided over by school principal Satanand Dubey. In his address to the newly elected cabinet Dubey said, “Today’s students are tomorrow’s citizens and could be the precursor of a strong nation if they understand their responsibilities.” In the oath taking ceremony students pledged to serve the school and fulfil their responsibility to the best of their abilities. The newly selected office-bearers dressed in resplendent uniform and marching to the beat of drums, added to grandeur of the event. They were conferred with badges by the principal. The ceremony commenced with welcome song by the school choir. A scintillating classical dance and the instrumental presentation left the audience spellbound.

Class XII commerce student Kapila Soni and XII science student Tanmay Ora were nominated as head girl and head boy, respectively. Anvesha Dubey and Daksh Majumdar of XI science were nominated as deputy head girl and deputy head boy respectively. Anushkla Pandya, Khushi Tongya, Prerna Chawda and Narayan Parmar were nominated as captains of Knowledge, Skills, Values and Growth Houses, respectively. In all, 32 prefects took the pledge to hold the school motto of loyalty, truth and honour in high esteem. Director Ankit Vohra congratulated the newly selected prefects on this occasion.

The top prefects addressed to the gathering and urged the young leaders to uphold the values of the school and discharged their duties honestly and impartially. Senior teacher Partha Gantait, Minakshi Sisodiya and Surbhi Chandrawat graced the event. The programme was conducted by Rahul Chakrakar and Indrajeet Upadhyay while house coordinator Akhilesh Soni proposed the vote of thanks.
