At a time when several Bollywood superstars including both Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have not been able to make a huge impact on the box office, Varun Dhawan’s latest flick has surely made him tall in the list of emerging megastars in the industry. The movie has already broken several records and has also slotted itself in the Rs 200 crore club list. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and said,”#Judwaa2… Week 1: ₹ 98.08 cr, Week 2: ₹ 27.76 cr, Weekend 3: ₹7.19 cr. Total: ₹ 133.03 cr. India biz. SUPERHIT.” He also gave the earning for Week 3. Adarsh said,”#Judwaa2 [Week 3] Fri 1.72 cr, Sat 2.65 cr, Sun 2.82 cr. Total: ₹ 133.03 cr. India biz. SUPERHIT… Overseas: $ 6.02 million [₹ 39.39 cr].” David Dhawan directed Judwaa 2 was released on September 29 and has been entertaining the audience. Despite some new releases at the box office, Judwaa 2 remains strong.
Looking at the amazing business the movie is doing, several industry experts are of the opinion that Judwaa 2 might also become the second highest grosser of 2017 and blockbuster hit Baahubali 2. With festivities around the corner, Judwaa 2 might continue its upward trend and stand as a big competition for movies like Secret Superstar and Golmaal Again lined up for release this week. The movie has also beat Akshay Kumar starrer- Toilet Ek Prem Katha (Rs 135 cr) and SRK’s Raees (Rs 180 cr). Now we need to wait and watch how long can the movie keep this consistency.
